Sheriff Travis Roush graduated from Shoals High School in 1998. 

Sheriff Roush joined the Army after high school. He later attended Vincennes University where he earned an Associate's Degree in History. He then attended Indiana State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Sheriff Roush began his term as Sheriff on January 1, 2015.



Chief Deputy Josh Greene graduated from Loogootee High School in 2002.

Chief Deputy Greene has been with the Sheriff's Department since 2006. He started as a jail officer before moving on to a dispatcher. In 2009, he was hired as a deputy. Chief Deputy Greene held the rank of Corporal before being appointed as Chief Deputy on January 1, 2015 by Sheriff Travis Roush.
